Since the birth of Uber in the Philippines, I have left that era when I would need to beg a cab driver to bring me to my destination. The power over me of the once mighty cab driver has diminished and is completely gone, thanks to Uber. Uber has given us the ability to find a decent ride anytime and anywhere. You need not worry anymore and endure the "kamot-ulo", "parining" at buntong hiniga of kuya cab driver and the constant comment na "ang traffic naman, dagdag ng konti sa metro." Uber drivers know where they need to bring you and if they don't, Waze is there to the rescue! The best feature of Uber for me is the ability of your family or friends (special friends for others ) to follow your travel path, giving you a great sense of security. Of course, all these services come with a price but for those who are willing to pay, the Uber experience is liberating!
